Pamela Espin

Pamela (Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Registered AASW member- Specialising in counselling and psychotherapy) achieved her Bachelor’s in Social Work at the University of Sydney and completed her Counselling and Psychotherapy studies at the University of Western Sydney. Pamela specialised in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the Health Education and Training Institute.

Pamela is a dedicated, solution-focused therapist who helps her clients achieve their goals. Pamela’s diverse mental health experience in community, inpatient, and emergency settings in both the private and public health sector has provided her with the expertise to effectively support her clients, in collaboration with their families and all relevant stakeholders. Pamela is a measured, insightful therapist with a holistic and inclusive approach.

 

Pamela is a certified NDIS provider and an accomplished Executive Functioning Specialist. She offers personalized interventions that respect the individual and their unique challenges, within a trauma-informed model of care. Pamela’s impressive skill set enables her to empower clients to self-manage, enhance their executive functioning; time management, organization, task prioritization, focus, emotional regulation, and goal setting skills. She is experienced in social-skills training and offers individual and group sessions. Pamela’s clients benefit from improved self-confidence and social networking. Pamela’s core drive is to improve her clients’ quality of life and self-efficacy. 

 

Pamela has excelled in the area of Child and Adolescent Mental Health, but also in the corporate world where she served as a clinical leader for a prominent EAP provider. Here Pamela mentored numerous professionals, high-level executives and CEOs, optimising their work performance. Pamela is an accredited in EMDR and Maudsley Family-Based Therapy for Anorexia. She also offers Schema Therapy. 

 

Notably, Pamela’s outstanding contributions were acknowledged when she was nominated for NSW Health Employee of the Year in 2018. Her unwavering commitment to individuals struggling with mental health challenges is evidenced in her clients’ positive outcomes and achievements. Pamela is compassionate and empathetic and allows her clients to feel truly heard and understood.
