What is the NDIS?

The NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is a government funded initiative that aims to provide support to all people with a disability. The NDIS offers information and connections to services in your community, such as doctors, sporting clubs, support groups, libraries and schools, as well as information about what support is provided by your state.

Our NDIS

AwareHub is a registered NDIS provider. AwareHub has completed the NDIS certification and audit process. We are proud to offer inclusive and holistic services to NDIS participants. We provide a range of individual and group services, therapies and supports aimed at meeting our clients’ individual needs and personal goals. Our aim is to respect the rights and choices of every person! AwareHub acts in accordance with the NDIS Code of Conduct and its recommended practice standards.

Social skills program – 6 weeks

Introducing Our 6-Week Social Skills Program

Specifically designed for young people aged 16-25 with a diagnosis of autism. Our program provides a supportive environment to nurture vital life skills. Led by an experienced facilitator who understands your unique perspective, each session delves into key areas:

  2. Master effective communication
  3. Boost self-confidence
  4. Cultivate genuine friendships
  5. Navigate online interactions safely
  6. Develop essential conflict resolution skills
  7. Acquire workplace ready skills

At AwareHub, we offer a variety of groups and workshops for NDIS Participants.

Activity Description Dates
Trauma-sensitive Yoga (in person)
Trauma-sensitive yoga is based on extensive research and includes gentle yoga movements with emphasis on the internal experience. This course is delivered weekly over a 6-week period and is offered as a closed group in our AwareHub Wellness Hub.
Wednesdays 6-7pm
Trauma-sensitive Yoga (online)
Trauma-sensitive yoga is based on extensive research and includes gentle yoga movements with emphasis on the internal experience. This course is delivered weekly over a 6-week period and is offered as a closed group over ZOOM.
Thursdays 6-7pm
Mindfulness for Teens Workshop
Our upcoming workshop is based on the Mindfulness in Schools Program, and helps improve mental health and wellbeing, concentration and cognition, social skills and emotional learning and behaviour. This course is suitable for teenages aged 11-18. It is a 9 week course with 8-10 spaces available.
Tuesdays 5-6pm
Private Exercise Sessions
Sessions provide an individualised program, nutritional guidance, goal setting and education around health and lifestyle. These sessions are suitable for anyone interested in exercise and nutrition.

Learn to Lift Program
This program teaches proper technique and confidence when lifting. It covers squats, bench and shoulder presses, and dead-lifts. This course is suitable for any beginners interested in lifting. It is a 3 week course.
