Dr David Binetter (BMed, MD, MMed (Psych), FRANZCP, Cert. Forensic. Psych.) is a General Adult and Forensic Psychiatrist, who enjoys working collaboratively with clients to provide personalised, holistic, and evidence-based care. He incorporates an empathetic, strengths-based, and recovery-oriented approach, utilising biopsychosocial treatment options. He believes that the best outcomes are achieved through trust and understanding individual’s unique needs.
David provides comprehensive assessment and management for a range of psychiatric conditions including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mood disorders (depressive and bipolar disorders), anxiety disorders, psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
David obtained his medical degree from the University of New South Wales, and subsequently completed a Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) through the University of Sydney. He has trained and worked in variety of tertiary hospital and community settings including Prince of Wales Hospital, St George Hospital, Westmead Hospital, and the Forensic Hospital. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), and completed subspeciality training to attain a Certificate in Forensic Psychiatry.
In addition to his private psychiatry practice, David holds a Staff Specialist position with Justice Health, and is also a Conjoint Associate Lecturer with the UNSW School of Medicine.
