Psychologist | Clinical Psychology Registrar
Samantha Knep is a registered psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar with experience across private practice, outpatient NSW Health mental health services, and university settings. She completed a Master of Clinical Psychology degree at the University of Technology Sydney and is currently undertaking a Clinical Psychology Registrar Program as she works towards endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist.
She works with children, adolescents, adults, and parents experiencing a broad range of psychological difficulties. Samantha enjoys supporting clients experiencing anxiety disorders, specific phobias, perfectionism, emotion dysregulation, burnout, stress, self-esteem difficulties, and depression. She has a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. She is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming therapeutic environment where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.
Her therapeutic approach draws on a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She also incorporates principles of Schema Therapy where appropriate and tailors treatment to each client’s individual needs.
Taking a collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based approach, Samantha is known for her warm, approachable, and empathetic style. She places strong value on building trusting therapeutic relationships where clients feel comfortable and supported. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and parents to navigate life’s challenges, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and create meaningful, lasting change.
