Dr David Binetter (BMed, MD, MMed (Psych), FRANZCP, Cert. Forensic. Psych.) is a General Adult and Forensic Psychiatrist, who works collaboratively with clients to provide personalised, holistic, and evidence-based care. He utilises an empathetic and recovery-oriented approach, using biopsychosocial treatment options. He believes that the best outcomes are achieved through developing trust and understanding individual’s unique needs.
David provides comprehensive assessment and management for a range of psychiatric conditions including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mood disorders (depressive and bipolar disorders), anxiety disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
David is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), and completed subspeciality training to attain an Advanced Certificate in Forensic Psychiatry.
David obtained his medical degree from the University of New South Wales, and a Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) through the University of Sydney. He has worked in variety of tertiary hospital and community psychiatric services, including Prince of Wales Hospital, St George Hospital, Westmead Hospital, and the Forensic Hospital, and as a Staff Specialist with Justice Health, and a Conjoint Associate Lecturer with the UNSW School of Medicine.
